David A. Babcock, president and CEO, conceived the idea for the company while employed at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh as Supervisor of Hardware Maintenance.

While working with manufacturers in all facets of operation and maintenance, he realized the need for a completely service-oriented maintenance vendor. Mr. Babcock founded Compu-Fix in 1980 and has continued to grow the company steadily ever since. Most recently, he expanded the company by adding a Network Solutions division to greatly increase the support offerings available to our clients.
